Engineered for processes that require rapid heat-up and cool-down cycles, this clear quartz emitter utilizes a specialized high-purity tungsten filament enclosed in a halogen gas environment.

Unlike medium or long wave heaters, this Halogen heating lamp emits peak wavelengths between 0.8 and 1.4 μm, with an intense color temperature of 2400-2500K. This specific short-wave radiation penetrates deeply into substrates rather than just heating the surface air, making it the most effective choice for pre-heating metals, rapidly drying inks, and curing coatings on fast-moving conveyor lines.

A: Yes. Because the Short wave infrared heater acts almost like a light bulb, its power output can be precisely regulated from 0% to 100% using standard phase-angle thyristor (SCR) PID controllers.

Q: Does it matter if the tube is installed vertically?

A: Standard short wave lamps are designed for horizontal operation. If installed vertically, the heavy tungsten coil can sag over time and cause a short circuit. If your machine requires vertical mounting, please specify this; we will manufacture the lamp with special internal filament supports.
