1. The Engineering of 3D Thermal Profiling

Q: What is the tightest curve you can manufacture?

A: To maintain the structural integrity of the glass and allow the internal filament to expand safely, the minimum bend radius must be at least 3 times the outer diameter of the quartz tube. For example, a 10mm OD tube can be bent to a minimum radius of 30mm.

Q: Can a bent heater be mounted vertically?

A: Yes. However, vertical mounting of complex shapes requires specific internal filament supports (like dimpled quartz or molybdenum rings) to prevent the glowing wire from sagging and touching the glass wall over time. Please specify your mounting orientation when requesting a quote.
