Q: Can I install this heater inside the water tank?
A: NO. This is an external heater. It must be adhered to the outside (bottom) of the stainless steel tank. It is not designed for direct submersion in water.
Q: Will this fit my specific Bain Marie brand?
A: This mat is a universal 400 x 290mm size. Please measure the flat area on the underside of your water well. If you have at least 400x290mm of flat space, this heater will fit regardless of the machine brand.
Q: Do I need a thermostat?
A: Yes. All heating elements require temperature control. You should connect this heater to your Bain Marie’s existing thermostat or energy regulator (simmerstat) to maintain the desired water temperature.
