The Hongtai Armored Cable Heater addresses this failure point by encasing the lead wires in a rugged Stainless Steel Flexible Hose (Armor) or high-density Metal Braid.

This protected lead wire design ensures that the electrical connection remains intact even when subjected to mechanical abuse, constant movement, or rodent activity. The armor is swaged directly into the heater body, creating a seamless, pull-proof transition that prevents contaminants from entering the heater.

Q: Can the armor hose be bent sharply?

A: No. Flexible metal conduit has a minimum bend radius (typically 3-4 times the hose diameter). For tight 90-degree bends, we recommend our Right Angle Block heater with armor.

Q: Is the hose waterproof?

A: The metal hose itself is interlocking but not hermetically sealed against high-pressure liquid. For underwater or washdown applications, we recommend a Teflon-coated lead wire instead.
